Spring has sprung at Savoy Timber

Spring is always one of the busiest times of the year for our clients in the home and garden sector. As the days grow longer and the weather begins to improve, homeowners across the UK start turning their attention back to outdoor projects, garden upgrades and home improvements. For businesses operating in this space, it marks the start of the most important trading period of the year.
That is exactly why Savoy Timber’s Spring Sale plays such an important role in the brand’s yearly calendar. As demand for home and garden products begins to rise, the sale provides a key opportunity to connect with customers at the moment they begin planning their projects.
WORKING TOGETHER THROUGH EVERY SEASON
Savoy Timber is a household name, serving DIY customers nationwide through its website and four physical stores offering a vast range of products designed to help customers transform their homes and gardens. From garden decking and fencing to kitchen worktops to interior décor, and everything in between, Savoy Timber’s product range caters to projects of all sizes.
Our partnership with Savoy Timber now spans more than a decade. A lot has changed since the early days, including a new chapter in the company’s ownership, but our relationship with Savoy Timber has remained consistent throughout. Today, our team at 21Digital are Savoy Timber’s full-service digital partner, supporting the brand across SEO, Google Ads, web development and design.

CAPTURING THE SPRING SURGE
With the sector heading into its busiest period and homeowners across the country starting to plan new outdoor and home improvement projects, this year’s Spring Sale was a key moment to capture that rising demand. Working closely with the Savoy Timber team, we rolled out a campaign designed to put the brand in front of customers right as they begin searching for and planning their projects.
THE ROLL OUT
With the campaign planned, the next step was preparing Savoy Timber’s digital channels for launch. Based on years of working together and understanding how customers interact with the brand during peak season, we focused on the places where the Spring Sale would be most visible to customers.
- Homepage refresh – We started with a bit of spring cleaning on the website, refreshing the homepage and updating the header graphics to highlight the Spring Sale. As part of the brief, the designs were updated to include more lifestyle and aspirational imagery, helping show Savoy Timber products in real home and garden settings. This is the first page many customers see when they arrive on the site, so placing the promotion here means the offers are immediately visible.
- Updated website graphics – The Spring Sale was then carried across the wider website with updated campaign graphics. Following the same approach as the homepage, these designs continued the use of lifestyle imagery across key areas of the site, helping keep the campaign consistent while customers browse products and explore different categories.
- Social graphics – To support the campaign away from the website, we created a series of social graphics promoting the Spring Sale. These posts help introduce the campaign to customers who may not yet be on the website and encourage them to click through to see the offers.
- Email newsletter – We also designed and sent a dedicated Spring Sale newsletter to Savoy Timber’s email subscribers. This puts the campaign directly in front of customers who already have an interest in the brand and its products, giving them a clear view of the offers available.
- Paid Ads media – To further support the Spring Sale, we launched a paid media campaign designed to expand its reach. This included organising and deploying all campaign ad copy and creative assets across Savoy Timber’s paid channels. We also produced high-impact video adverts for YouTube and the Google Display Network, helping the Spring Sale stand out and reach customers as they browse online.
Together, these updates helped bring the Spring Sale to life across Savoy Timber’s digital channels just as customers began turning their attention back to home and garden projects.
