Selling Timco products exclusively, My Trade Supplies needed a website that could handle a large product catalogue while making it easy for customers to buy in bulk, compare variations and find exactly what they need with minimal friction.
From the outset, the goal was clear: create a strong brand and an intuitive WooCommerce website that supports high-volume purchasing and removes unnecessary complexity from traditionally information-heavy trade products.

Making trade products easy to browse and buy
Trade supplies often come with large amounts of technical information, multiple sizes and bulk pricing structures. One of the biggest challenges of this project was transforming that complexity into a clear, visual and easy-to-navigate experience.
We designed the site with a strong focus on usability, using bold imagery for categories and subcategories to help users quickly understand the product range. This visual-first approach makes it far easier for customers to browse screws, fixings and nails at scale, even when the underlying data is extensive.
We even created functionality that lets users switch between product sizes directly from the product page. Instead of navigating back and forth between listings, customers can instantly compare and select the exact variation they need, making bulk purchasing faster and more efficient.
To support trade customers who regularly buy larger quantities, we clearly highlighted bulk-buy discounts in product listings to ensure transparent pricing and reinforce the value available to customers ordering at scale.
Despite the information-rich nature of the products, we carefully balanced data and design. Product listing tables, technical downloads and specifications are all easy to access, while the overall experience remains clean, visual and intuitive. The result is a site that feels straightforward to use without sacrificing any of the essential detail.
The client gave us significant creative freedom, which allowed us to introduce subtle design features, such as bespoke typographic details, that help give the brand a distinctive and confident visual identity.


Powerful WooCommerce development built for scale
Behind the scenes, the website is powered by strong custom development to ensure performance, scalability, and easy management.
The platform was built using WooCommerce, with a full e-commerce setup tailored specifically to trade requirements. A major part of the project involved a large-scale data import, bringing in approximately 10,000 SKUs along with associated product imagery. Our web development team carefully managed this process to maintain performance and guarantee data accuracy across the site.
To further enhance the customer’s buying experience, we developed bespoke functionality that groups related products on product pages. This allows customers to quickly find similar or alternative items within the range, encouraging discovery and helping them make informed purchases.
Search functionality was also optimised to handle the size of the catalogue, so users can find products quickly, even when searching by part numbers or technical terms.
What’s more, multi-buy offers and tiered pricing were configured to support trade purchasing habits, automatically applying discounts based on quantity. In addition, the order process was connected directly to the supplier, creating a more efficient workflow and reducing manual processing.
