RAISING OUR CUPS FOR DEMENTIA UK
Today, we hit pause on the usual hustle for a proper tea break – and all for a brilliant cause, and we’re not just talking about the freshly brewed tea or our dangerously good frothy coffee. We hosted our very own Time for a Cuppa tea party in support of Dementia UK – a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts.
Cake for a cause
There were some incredible homemade bakes, shop-bought favourites (no judgement here), and enough biscuits to sink a ship – all in the name of raising awareness and funds for families affected by dementia.
Why this charity? Because the reality is stark: someone in the UK develops dementia every three minutes. It’s one of the most urgent health challenges we face today, and it affects not just individuals, but their families, their friends, and their entire support networks.
Dementia UK does life-changing work, providing specialist help through Admiral Nurses who offer expert guidance and compassionate care. Their work makes a real difference, and we’re proud to do our bit to give back to them.
From biscuits to big-hearted donations
Between cracking on with our digital campaigns, we spent the day having a laugh, sharing delicious treats, and reflecting on why support like this matters so much. Of course, we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without a bit of friendly bake-off-style competition – and while we won’t name names, some team members may now be looking into professional patisserie careers.
We’re all making donations to support the charity, and it’s a pleasure to be able to give back to such a worthy cause. Dementia affects so many families – including some of the people on our team – so being able to support the work Dementia UK does feels personal, powerful, and important.
Every donation really does make a difference, whether it’s helping to fund a specialist nurse, providing a listening ear, or simply making sure someone doesn’t feel alone in what can be an overwhelming time.
