PHP Developer

21Digital are looking for a talented PHP developer to join this expanding digital agency located in Blackburn.

The ideal candidate will have excellent backend PHP & MySQL skills combined with front end web development skills, including HTML and JavaScript. Working with APIs and successfully integrating them into projects is vital.

Particular development experience with WordPress and Magento 2 is a must.

Experience of working in a busy digital agency environment is essential.

Reporting to the Technical Director and working alongside the wider creative and development teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our clients’ WordPress and Magento sites, keeping codebases up-to-date via development upgrades, creating custom plugins and extensions to suit client requirements and the development of custom themes for WordPress and Magento 2.

This is not a hybrid role – you’ll be based full-time in our Blackburn studio, working with a great team in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. We’re all about investing in our staff in the long term, so there are lots of opportunities to expand your existing skillset, too!

Essential Skills:

PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax
Magento 2
Composer
WordPress, including WooCommerce.
Version control (GIT)
Continuous Integration
Integrations with APIs

Desirable Skills:

Experience with React
Experience working on headless projects
Working with mobile apps
