Declan Porter joins 21Digital after successful apprenticeship
A huge congratulations are in order for Declan Porter as he joins the agency full-time as a PPC & SEO specialist after successfully completing his level 3 apprenticeship.
We sat down with Declan for a quickfire Q&A to share his experience at 21Digital.
What was your favourite moment during your apprenticeship?
When we won best digital agency 2019 at the Red Rose Awards. I hadn’t been with the agency long but still got to go along to the awards evening held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool and be part of the celebrations. It was an amazing experience to be part of a winning team.
What do you like best about Google Ads?
Its tangibility, you can quickly create a campaign putting clients products and services next to super relevant search phrases in Google. Furthermore, with conversion tracking, we can clearly demonstrate ROI.
You also work in conjunction with the search team on SEO…
Yes – SEO presents unique challenges and can sometimes be a bit frustrating as it’s not as straightforward as PPC where you can put money in and get predictable results. SEO is a lot more complicated as a few small changes can have large implications for your search rankings. That said, when we do achieve top of page rankings with SEO the reward somehow feels greater — because we worked a lot harder to earn it.
What do you like about working at 21Digital?
We have a great team atmosphere, outstanding reputation, and are deeply committed to delivering the best results for all our clients. There’s a lot of experience in the agency and I’m trying to absorb as much as I can.
