21Digital wins Best Digital Business 2019 at the Red Rose Awards!

21Digital wins Best Digital Business 2019 at the Red Rose Awards! 21Digital wins Best Digital Business 2019 at the Red Rose Awards!

We are absolutely over the moon here at 21Digital. Having been finalists for two awards at this year’s Lancashire Red Rose Awards, we were thrilled to take home the Best Digital Business Award for 2019!

As one of the smaller businesses in this category, we were up against some very large and well-established organisations, and our team were absolutely ecstatic to win. We were selected out of hundreds of nominations from throughout the county to a competitive shortlist, before ultimately impressing the panels of judges with a presentation and a rigorous review.

What were the judges’ comments?

The judges had this to say: “21Digital has an incredible business culture backed by values. The in-house apprenticeship programme relating senior and junior staff through mentorship is admirable.  Consistent year on year growth with exciting new customer acquisitions is impressive.”

Event founder Richard Slater, also the publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine, said “21Digital can be exceptionally proud of their achievement – Lancashire is a booming county home to thousands of headline-grabbing businesses with excellent stories, and the Red Rose Awards is the biggest event celebrating their achievements. To stand out in a crowded field is a true testament of ingenuity, hard work and doing things the right way.”

21Digital managing director Sam Fletcher said: “It was a great honour to be named best Digital Business in Lancashire at this year’s Red Rose Awards. The last year had been incredible for 21Digital, seeing us almost double in team size, move to new bigger premises and winning a host of new, prestigious clients. We also rebranded to represent our focused service options for clients.

“Winning this award is an immense accolade for our entire team and also our wonderful clients with whom it has been such a pleasure to work.”

The black-tie ceremony was held at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool, one of the biggest entertainment complexes in Europe. The expansive venue was absolutely stunning, complete with some entrancing decorative touches and performers, including stilt-walkers and mirror-suited dancers, and the awards themselves kicked off with a fantastic Tron-inspired light show. BBC Radio Lancashire and North West Tonight host Graham Liver compered the evening, with entertainment from Gravity Live, DFC Lancashire and Funtime Frankies.

The audience and nominees, meanwhile, consisted of the cream of Lancashire business, including industry-leading organisations and some hugely influential business leaders, as well as a fair few of our own clients. In fact, throughout the evening we spotted quite a few familiar faces in the crowd – many of whom went on to win their own awards! All winners were kept top secret until the prize-giving ceremony, at which point we were given a beautiful trophy, crafted specially for the event.

Michael Cain, 21Digital’s Technical Director, said: “It’s the second such accolade that we’ve won in less than a year, our last being the Digital Agency of the Year award at Lancashire Business Awards. As with that one, our win this year is thanks to a massive team effort, helping and supporting each other to deliver the very best results for our clients. We’re determined to stay focused on this mission as we move ever further into 2019, rising to even higher heights as we continue deliver the outstanding campaigns that have helped make us the Best Digital Business in Lancashire.”
