We’ve Been Nominated For The Lancashire Business Awards!
We’ve got some exciting news here this week at 21 Digital: we’ve been nominated for the Lancashire Business Awards 2017! As you can imagine we’re thrilled here in the office, as it’s a very highly-regarded event. If you’ve not heard of the Awards before, allow us to quickly fill you in.
What Are The Lancashire Business Awards?
It does what it says on the tin, really. The awards recognise the best and brightest businesses in the Lancashire area. They have a total of 20 categories, each of which pay attention to exceptional triumphs of teamwork, impressive individual achievements, and outstanding contributions to the local business community.
This is now the tenth year of the awards, and they’re only getting bigger and better with every passing year.
The LBAs are organised by Downtown in Business; a massive partnership of various companies based throughout the North West. DiB originally started in Liverpool, but now have branches in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Lancashire.
Their main aim is to provide a voice for private sector businesses, representing them to local government and public organisations while also helping them network and connect with each other. This aim is the driving idea behind most of their events, and that’s exactly how the Lancashire Business Awards came about.
Each year has a specific theme, with this year’s being Game of Thrones. Our business development director, Sam Fletcher, was lucky enough to attend last year’s event – 2016’s theme was rock music, so there were some amazing guitar solos for each announcement. Sam had great fun, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the Game of Thrones theme brings this year!
What Does This Mean For 21 Digital?
Obviously we’re over the moon here at 21 Digital, and very proud to be included in such a large-scale event. We’re a reasonably small agency, but we’re up against some of the region’s biggest names and most influential businesses – and that’s just in our category! The competition is likely to be fierce, but with your support we think we’ll have no problem.
The event will be held at the Mercure Dunkenlalgh Hotel in Blackburn – which is handy for us, as it’s just a short trip up the road.
It’s not until the 8th of June, so there’s plenty of time to get voting before the polls close on the 12th of May. We’d be hugely grateful if you could cast a vote in our favour – it only takes a second, and we’d love to have your support. (We also want to give a warm thanks to everyone who has already!)
