21Digital Agency Seeks Future Digital Star At Apprentice Event
As a local digital agency, our first port of call is always the local pool of talent from right here in Lancashire. Last night, we attended the Themis Apprenticeship Careers Event at Burnley College, just down the road from our Blackburn studio. We’re pleased to say it was a fantastic turnout, with hundreds of promising students attending. We were amongst 40 leading employers exhibited at the event, all showcasing the apprenticeship opportunities and career progression within their business and industry.
We Saw A Brilliant Turnout At This Year’s Themis Apprenticeship Careers Event
“It was encouraging to see such a large turnout at a really impressive event.” said Michael Cain, our Technical Director. “There was so much positivity, ambition and enthusiasm in the young people I met. I’m now keener to move forward as 21Digital Agency develops our digital apprentice offering, especially as we’re working in partnership with such great local training providers like Themis and Burnley College.”
Digital is a multidiscipline sector which continues to grow in the North West, so it’s no surprise that we had lots of very strong interest from the young attendees in the various roles that a digital agency like ours can offer, ranging from roles in design and development to accounts and marketing positions. Naturally, our web development apprenticeships were of particular interest to those studying computer science and similar disciplines.
Sam Fletcher, our Head of Agency, added:
“Agencies have traditionally struggled to recruit coders or web developers in the Lancashire area, so it seemed ideal for us to develop our own apprenticeship programme. It’s working brilliantly so far, and will provide us with the skills we need in the long term as we invest in the young people of the future.”
