What does the future hold for search?

As a species, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the full potential of AI – there are plenty more good things on the horizon! Google is currently working on its Search Generative Experience for example, which will draw on AI to help better understand user intent, so that it can deliver even more tailored and relevant search results. Some rival search engines, like Bing, have already implemented similar systems into their search results. The results have been somewhat mixed (the Search Engine Results Pages are packed with an almost overwhelming amount of information, for example), but like them or not, they’re not going away, and they have big implications for technical SEO.
